Feb. 6, 2019, Sterling, Colo. —   Kelsey Kalous of Fort Morgan, Colo. has signed her letter of intent to play for the Plainswomen volleyball team. Kalous is a 3x letter winner for the Mustangs as well being named all-conference and academic all-state honorable mention. Outside of the court, she was on the honor roll four years in a row, as well as being the Rotary student of the month.

Being from Fort Morgan played a huge role in her coming to Northeastern. "I chose NJC because it was the place that I felt the most at home. I vibe well with the volleyball coach and the staff," commented Kalous. "I really feel like I can succeed academically as well as athletically."

Head coach Jess Squier has been familiar with Kalous for a number of years now. "We first became aware of Kelsey when she came to our camp over the summer," added Squier. "During camp she really was coachable and enjoyable to work with, and when I saw that I knew that I wanted to be her coach."

Kalous is one of the newest signees added to the 2019 roster with many more to come. Squier has all four of her sophomores playing on at the next level and looks to fill their shoes with this next recruiting class.
