Northeastern Baseball Ties The Weekend Road Series With Colby Community College After Winning Game Four 2-0
Northeastern Baseball took down Colby Community College in a Pitcher's dual in game four of the road series 2-0. Cameron Ochoa was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Ochoa picked up the win for the Plainsmen, going 6 innings, giving up no runs on three hits, walking three and striking out four.
The pitchers stood out in the game as the Plainsmen were able to strike out four Trojan batters and the Trojan's were able to strike out 12 of the Plainsmen's batters. Northeastern opened up the scoring in the third after Zach McVay singled, scoring one run. Makoy Lucero came in for 2.1 innings of relief, giving up no runs or hits and walking two batters. CJ Gonzales collected the save after going .2 innings and not allowing a hit. McVay led Northeastern with one run batted in. Michael Clark led the Plainsmen with three hits in four at bats.
