Northeastern Baseball Falls To Trinidad State College In Game Two Of The Four Game Road Series

Northeastern Baseball takes a loss to Trinidad State College 7-3 on Saturday. Brendan Clelland was named the DDC Player of the Game. Clelland went 1-3 at the plate, hitting one double and drove in two runs in the contest. 

The Plainsmen got on the board first in the top of the first inning after Clelland doubled, scoring two runs. Yusei Uzawa hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the third. Tony Slizowski started the game for Northeastern and ended up taking the loss. Slizowski went 5 innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on 5 hits, walking one batter and striking out 5 batters. Keon Bandy threw 2.2 innings of relief, giving up three earned runs on 5 hits, walking one batter and striking out three batters. Deacon Trenkle threw .1 innings of relief. 

Northeastern amassed 10 hits in the contest. Clelland led the team with two runs batted in. Aniel Del Orbe led the team with three hits in four at bats. Brayden Stufft collected two hits in three at bats. The Plainsmen accumulated four stolen bases in the contest.
