Northeastern Baseball Shuts Out Western Nebraska Community College in Game Three, Winning The Game 5-0
Northeastern Baseball shuts out the Cougars of Western Nebraska Community College 5-0 on Friday. Tony Slizowski was named the DDC Player of the Game. Slizowski started on the hill for the Plainsmen and earned the shut out, complete game win. Slizowski threw 7 innings, giving up 6 hits, accumulated 7 strikeouts and did not walk a batter in the contest.
The Plainsmen were the first to get on the board in the top of the second inning when Harrison Good singled, scoring one run. Northeastern added one run in the third after Carson Sauter singled to center field, making the score 2-0. The Plainsmen piled up 10 hits in the contest. Tanner Peerey, Good and Brendan Clelland each collected two hits in the game. Peerey, Good, Sauter, Max Valerio and Hudson Hoy each drove in one run for the Plainsmen.
