Northeastern Baseball Ends Historic Season At The West District Tournament
Northeastern couldn't keep up with Central Arizona and fell 9-0 on Friday.
Central Arizona jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Weinmeyer singled, scoring one run, and Haas homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Lanphere hit a grand slam to right field in the bottom of the third for the Central Arizona.
Brock Johnson earned the win for Central Arizona. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking three. Tony Slizowski took the loss for Northeastern. The pitcher went two innings, allowing five runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one.
Brayden Stufft and DDC Player of the Game, Tanner Peerey each collected two hits for Northeastern.
