Plainsmen win opener 51-45

Northeastern Junior College outlasted Central Wyoming College in their home opener tonight by a score of 51-45.  Justin Sapoi led the Plainsment with 12 points, including 8 in the first half as his standout performance, earned him the DDC Player of the Game Award.

The first half was tighlty contested with several lead changes throughout.  The Plainsmen however, finished the half strong pulling away to a 26109 lead at halftime.

The Plainsmen kept Central Wyoming at bay in the second half, ultimately securing the victory by a 6 point margin.  Eight Plainsmen contributed in scoring, showcasing a balanced offensive effort.
