Northeastern Plainsmen Fall Short Against Trinidad State College Trojans
In a closely contested Region IX South Region basketball showdown, the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen were defeated by the Trinidad State College Trojans with a final score of 93-84 on February 15, 2025, at Trinidad, CO.
Despite a valiant effort, the Plainsmen could not overcome the Trojans, ending the game with an 84-93 loss. Standouts for Northeastern Junior College included Noah Adamczyk who scored 21 points and Quis Davis who contributed 20 points. Both players were recognized as DDC Players of the Contest for their impressive performances.
Coach Trenkle highlighted the need for improvement in the post-game commentary, stating, "we need to convert on offensive rebounds and record more second chance points," pinpointing a crucial area for the Plainsmen's development.
Looking ahead, the Plainsmen are set to face McCook Community College on February 18, 2025, in McCook, NE. The team currently holds a record of 8-18 overall and 3-5 in their conference play. The upcoming game offers another opportunity for the Plainsmen to refine their strategies and bounce back.
