Northeastern Softball Drops Second Game to #13 Trinity Valley

Northeastern Softball falls to #13 Trinity Valley, thanks to a big fifth inning for TVC, leading to a 9-1 final outcome. Isabelle Bencivenga was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Bencivenga went 2-2 at the plate, driving in one run, catching two runner stealing and calling a solid game behind the plate. 

The Plainswomen got on the board first in the first inning after Bencivenga singled to push in one run. Trinity Valley then took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth. TVC exploded with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the 9-1 lead. Reagan Fehringer ended up taking the loss for Northeastern. Fehringer went four innings, giving up 7 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits, walking four and striking out three. Maddie Cline then came in for one inning of relief. Cline gave up two runs (0 earned) on one hit.
