In the second day of the NJC Roundball classic, the Plainswomen played host to the Casper College Thunderbirds. In the night before, the Plainswomen defeated the Ballers to give them a good start to the weekend. The T-Birds would prove to be a better team, but Northeastern was more than capable of defending their home court.
In the first half of the game, the Plainswomen would hold the lead over the T-Birds by hitting clutch shots and pounding the paint. In the third quarter, Casper was able to make a run towards the end to take the lead. In the fourth, the Plainswomen could not capitalize and could only put up seven to Casper's 24 points, which would lead to their loss.
Proving so far to be the Plainswomen's go to point scorer is Katie Diakhaby by once again recording a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.
The Plainswomen face Casper College again in five days as they will travel there to play them on November 16.
