Northeastern Baseball Falls To Southeast Community College In Game Two of the Four Game Series
Northeastern Baseball falls to Southeast Community College 14-3 in game two of the four game road series. Yusei Uzawa was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Uzawa went 2-3 at the plate, earning one walk, stealing one base and scoring three runs.
The Plainsmen opened up the scoring in the top of the first inning after Michael Clark hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Northeastern added one run in the top of the third on another sacrifice fly by Clark. Tony Slizowski started the game for Northeastern and ended up taking the loss. Slizowki threw 5 innings, giving up 5 earned runs on three hits, walking three batters and striking out 6 batters. Keon Bandy came in for relief, giving up 6 runs (5 earned) on four hits and walked one batter. Jared Tameling threw one inning of relief, giving up three earned runs on two hits, walking one batter and striking out two batters.
Brayden Stufft and Uzawa both collected two hits in the contest. Clark led the way with two runs batted in.
