Northeastern Gathers Their First Victory Of The Year Against Iowa Western Community College
Northeastern defeated host Iowa Western in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-21, 25-14. Willow Snow was named the DDC Player of the Game after she accumulated 5 digs and had an unofficial 2.42 passing ranking, demonstrating exceptional defensive skills and a solid serve receive performance.
Francesca Nuzzo contributed 8 kills and Samantha Mosley added another 6 kills to help the Plainswomen cruise past the Reivers. Serve receive and spreading the offense were crucial factors in the team's dominant performance. Effective serve receive allowed better ball control and more opportunities for diverse offensive plays. Continuously refining serve receive techniques and further enhancing the distribution of the offense could lead to even more consistent performances.
